Breaking down adhesions helps to decrease tension

Swedish massage is a type of therapeutic massage that can be performed both gentle and vigorous. Swedish massage uses a wide range of massage techniques and strokes to promote a relaxation effect. Gentle massage techniques are performed during a Swedish massage to help warm up muscles, increase the blood circulation and release tension. More vigorous types of techniques are used to break down adhesions within soft tissues.

Therapeutic massage is an effective massage type that stimulates the skin and nervous system, reducing emotional and physical stress. Therapeutic massage helps promote general health, relaxation, and reduce tension related to emotional stress. A therapeutic massage can stimulate a sense of calmness and well-being by increasing feel good hormones. Therapeutic massage can be used on regular basis to maintain relaxation and healthy muscle condition.

The aim of the treatment is to help with energy or ‘qi’ imbalance. The oils are then gently massaged into your skin. Aromatherapy/Raindrop massage can help to reduce stress and anxiety, as well as aid in the body’s natural response to irritation and injury. A vacuum like suction is created inside the cup, and then placed on the body. The massage therapist will typically move the cup around in a circular motion, which causes the skin and superficial muscle layer to be lightly drawn into the cup. The suction sensation helps to mimic the rolling action of a deep tissue massage without the discomfort. Typically, a cupping massage can aid in loosening connective tissue, and stubborn knots.

It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use.

They may also use massage to reduce stress and anxiety issues, which may be contributing to the problem.

Thai Herbal Compress Performed for hundreds of years, Herbal Ball Massage is known to provide deep relaxation while relieving stress, fatigue, and improving health. The therapy relies on the use of hot compresses or “poultices” filled with a selection of herbs and spices. Those compresses, wet and then steamed, are gently applied to specific points of the body releasing their healing benefits into the pores of the skin. They can be combined with the use of hands to focus the massage on knots. Hot compresses promote relaxation while soothing aching muscle and stiff joints.
