Reflexology

What is Clinical Reflexology

Clinical Reflexology is a non-invasive, holistic therapy that works alongside conventional medical care, helping to re-balance your body to achieve healing and wellbeing in a relaxing, rejuvenating and therapeutic way. Releasing tension often brought on by stressful situations, restoring energy levels, and improving sleep, helping you to feel emotionally and physically stronger.

Make sure your reflexologist is RCRT Certified to ensure the top standards in education and practice.

How does Clinical Reflexology work

By applying pressure to reflexes on the feet with thumbs and fingers, a trained  Reflexologist is able to detect any imbalances which may be as a result of stress, illness or injury working these reflexes in a very specific way to initiate a beneficial response in a corresponding area of the body, incorporating meridian points (acupuncture points) and advanced techniques to encourage your body to achieve ‘homeostasis’.

All the systems of the body are worked on the feet, musculoskeletal, respiratory, digestive, urinary, endocrine, nervous, and lymphatic.

  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Menopause
  • Back pain
  • Migraines, headaches
  • Sleep disorders
  • Digestive problems
  • Circulatory problems
  • Stress related disorders
  • Arthritis

Reflexology improves circulation and lymph flow, cleanses the body of impurities and revitalizes energy, which will encourage the body to naturally restore its own healthy balance. Additionally, Reflexology can bring soothing stress relief and relaxation to the mind, body and spirit. The treatment can be pleasurable and extremely relaxing to receive, as well as invigorating and energizing.

Benefits of an Ayurvedic Foot Massage

Ayurveda is a complete therapy which can treat a wide range of ailments from digestive, skin, skeletal and neurological disorders, to depression and anxiety. It is the ultimate holistic treatment for the mind, body and spirit. This reviving massage on your feet and lower legs with an Ayurvedic tri-metal Kansa Vatki bowl will help to restore, re-balance and maintain homeostasis.

The treatment ends with a sequence of marma massage this helps to detoxify and re-balance the body’s energy. Reflexology is a safe, non-invasive treatment which stimulates the body’s own natural ability to heal and re-balance.

It involves using a combination of massage and gentle pressure techniques to reflex points and zones on the feet. By applying pressure to these reflex points, the corresponding organs and/or systems within the body can be enhanced.

The fusion of Padabhyanga and Reflexology offers a truly unique and beautifully relaxing treatment.

Benefits of Champissage™ (Indian Head Massage)

Indian Head Massage is a simple, safe and highly beneficial head massage therapy that has been popular on the Indian subcontinent for over a thousand years. The head, neck, shoulders and upper back — areas where tension is more likely to accumulate — are gently, firmly and rhythmically massaged until the pressure simply begins to float away.

This unique therapy combines physical and subtle massage with energy balancing to produce feelings of perfect peace. It’s a very beneficial massage therapy for those suffering from headaches, neck tension and eyestrain.

It is generally not performed by a RMT and therefore it is advised that your insurance company should be contacted regarding coverage if that is required.

It may have numerous other benefits such as a profound sense of overall well-being, a clear mind and, of course, healthier hair growth.

A session takes about 35 minutes, during which you will be seated in a normal chair and fully clothed. It is a very safe, caring and compassionate treatment.

Benefits of a Natural Face Lift Massage

This service is not covered under registered massage therapy.

It is designed to be a gentle non-invasive approach and provides a natural face lift through massage. It works primarily by freeing constrictions both within the facial muscles and in the connective tissue. Tension can build up within our facial muscles from the pressures of everyday life without us realizing it. Under such conditions muscles can actually “dry up” and contract, inhibiting freedom of expression. This can encourage aging and the formation of wrinkles as the face loses its muscle tone and elasticity and begins to sag. This natural face lift helps to replenish your skin’s natural vitality, reducing visible signs of aging and bringing an exuberant glow to your face.
